Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 28, 2026

Azzo Law, PLLC is a personal injury and no-fault law firm at 33687 Woodward Ave, Birmingham, Michigan 48009. You can reach us at 844-ASK-AZZO (844-275-2996). Lauren Sitto Azzo is the attorney responsible for the content of this website.

This policy explains what we collect on this website, how we use it, and who else sees it. It covers this site only. It does not cover other sites we link to.

Read this part first

If you contact us about a legal matter, what you tell us is governed by our duty of confidentiality as Michigan lawyers. It is not governed by the marketing terms further down this page. We do not sell it. We do not hand it to advertisers. We do not feed it into analytics or ad platforms. Nothing else in this policy gives us permission to do any of those things with information about your case.

Two things to know before you send anything.

Contacting us does not make us your lawyers. That relationship starts when we both sign an engagement agreement, and not before. Our Disclaimer covers this in full.

Until that agreement exists, we cannot promise that what you send stays confidential. Tell us what happened in general terms. Leave out documents, medical records, and details you would not want seen. We tell you when it is safe to send more.

What we collect

What you give us.

  • Your name, phone number, email address, and anything else you type into a form on this site.
  • What you tell us in the chat window.
  • Anything you send us by email, text, or phone.
  • Account and case information in the client portal, which serves current clients of the firm.

What we collect automatically.

  • IP address, browser, device type, operating system, and approximate location.
  • Which pages you visited, when, and the site that sent you here.
  • Cookies and similar identifiers.

We do not ask for Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or medical records through this website, and we would rather you did not send them here.

Cookies, analytics, and identifiers

What cookies are. Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some last only until you close your browser. Those are session cookies. Others stay for a set period, from a day to about two years, so a site can recognize your browser when you return. Those are persistent cookies. This site uses both kinds.

What this site uses. Cookies fall into three groups here. Strictly necessary cookies make the site work. Chat cookies come from Tawk.to, the provider that runs our chat window. Analytics and advertising cookies come from Google, and they run only if you allow them.

How the consent banner works. When you first visit, a banner asks you to choose. Accept turns on analytics and advertising cookies. Essential only keeps them off. Strictly necessary cookies load either way, because the site does not work without them. You can see or change your choice at any time through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site. It runs under Google Consent Mode v2, which reads your banner choice before any analytics cookie is set. If you choose Essential only, analytics cookies stay off. We do not send names, phone numbers, email addresses, or case details into any analytics or advertising tool, and we instruct our providers not to accept personal information from us.

Advertising measurement. Google tools measure our advertising under the same consent controls. If you accept, Google uses cookies and device identifiers to measure which ads bring people here and to show our ads on other websites based on your past visits here. If you choose Essential only, those cookies stay off. You can also opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google Ads Settings, and out of participating vendors at the NAI opt-out page and YourAdChoices.

Embedded video. Some pages embed video from third-party players. Those players set their own cookies under their own privacy policies, not this one. We use privacy-enhanced embed modes where the provider offers them, and we keep advertising tags off pages built around video.

Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will break parts of this site.

Do Not Track

Browsers and standards bodies never agreed on a common Do Not Track standard, so this site does not respond to those signals. The Cookie settings link, your browser controls, and the opt-out links above are the ways to limit tracking here.

Live chat

We use Tawk.to to run the chat window on this site. When you open chat, Tawk.to processes and stores the conversation for us along with basic technical information about your visit.

Please do not put confidential case details in chat. Chat does not create an attorney-client relationship and we cannot guarantee it stays confidential.

Calls and text messages

Calls to and from our office may be monitored or recorded for quality and training. If you would rather not be recorded, say so at the start of the call and we turn it off or take notes instead.

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts from us, here is what that means. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to cancel at any time and we stop. We honor opt-outs promptly and by any reasonable method, not only by keyword.

We do not sell or share mobile information or SMS consent with third parties or lead generators for marketing purposes. No mobile opt-in data is shared with anyone for marketing, ever.

Agreeing to texts is never a condition of hiring us or of anything else we do for you.

How we use information

  • To answer you, return your call, and work out whether we can help.
  • To represent you if you become a client.
  • To run and improve this website.
  • To measure and improve our advertising.
  • To meet our legal, ethical, and recordkeeping obligations as Michigan lawyers.

Who we share it with

We share information with service providers who work for us, and only as far as they need it to do that work. That means our website host, our chat provider, and our analytics and advertising measurement provider. It also covers our phone and email providers, our intake and case management systems, and our professional advisors.

We share when the law requires it, when a court orders it, or when we need to protect someone's safety or our own legal rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing.

And the line worth repeating. Client and prospective client confidences sit outside all of this. We do not share them with advertisers, analytics providers, or anyone else for marketing.

How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, and we review the vendors who hold data for us. No website and no system is perfectly secure, so we do not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects personal information, we notify people as Michigan law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep client files for as long as our professional obligations require. Website inquiries that do not become cases we keep only as long as we need them, and then we delete them. If you want an inquiry deleted sooner, ask us and we will.

Your choices

  • Ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to the address below.
  • Change your cookie choice using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page.
  • Stop texts by replying STOP.
  • Stop marketing emails using the unsubscribe link.

Some records we have to keep. Client files and anything we are required to retain are the main example.

Children

This site is not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child sent us something, contact us and we delete it.

Client portal

The client portal is for existing clients of the firm. What lives in it is client information. We treat it under our duty of confidentiality, we host it with vendors we have vetted, and we never use it for marketing.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top tells you when we last did. If a change matters to you, we make it obvious rather than bury it.
