Kirstie Magyari

Attorney

Kirstie Magyari is a Michigan attorney and litigator. She represents people and families after a serious injury. Before law school she worked with families and in the medical field.

A Brighton, Michigan native, Kirstie attended Michigan State University, where she earned her degree in Human Development and Family Studies while completing pre-medical coursework. Before entering the legal profession, she gained extensive experience working with children and families and explored multiple areas of the medical field. That experience gave her an early understanding of the human impact that illness and injury can have on individuals and their families.

Kirstie's path to law began during an internship with the Ingham County Circuit Court -Family Division, where she served as a Juvenile Court Officer. The experience confirmed her passion for advocacy and sparked her decision to pursue a career in law.

Kirstie earned her law degree from Wayne State University Law School, where she focused her education on advocacy and service to others. As a student attorney in Wayne Law's Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer Clinic, she worked in partnership with Karmanos Cancer Institute to provide legal assistance to low-income cancer patients confronting the legal and financial challenges associated with serious illness. Her commitment to serving the Detroit community also led her to coordinate a multidisciplinary workshop at Wayne State University focused on addressing health disparities.

During law school, Kirstie was a Board of Governors Scholar from 2015–2018 and received the Annual Faculty Award for Excellence in Constitutional Law. She was elected Treasurer of the Wayne Law Student Board of Governors for two consecutive years and received the Student Voluntary Pro Bono Award in recognition of her commitment to public service.

Since law school, Kirstie has litigated personal injury, employment, civil rights, and contract cases.

Kirstie is admitted to practice in Michigan and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. She represents clients throughout Michigan.
